TMr J. L. Dell, Chief Test Pilot of B.A.C. Preston, reported favourably on the smooth progress of the jaguar flight test programme in a paper given before the Test Pilots' Group of the Royal Aeronautical Society early in May. He placed emphasis on the value of having joint flight test teams operating from the two flight test bases, the French at Istres in the South of France for the French prototypes and B.A.C. Warton for the English prototypes. He felt that both sides had improved their flight test techniques as a result of the joint effort.
