Asynchronous discussion board posts were required and served as a communication tool both between students and between students and instructor; thus, the same posts served two functions.
The instructor posted 15 questions at the outset of the course, but did not reply to student comments on the discussion board. cVideo lectures were used for course delivery and were not used for individual communication, but could be considered interaction.
