  • Centre of communication

  • Communicates with client, main contractor, subcontractors (when appointed by design consultant), councils, suppliers and other third parties involved in the project

  • Handover of documents to main contractor, client and facilities manager

Main contractorMain coordinator of construction stage. The scope of work includes constructing the designed buildings and infrastructure, resource allocation, developing work schedule, appointing and coordinating with subcontractors, developing as-built drawings, completion of project and hand-over to client
  • Mainly communicate with design consultant

  • Other communications include with the client, subcontractors and facilities manager

Project managerProject manager is appointed by the main contractor to manage the construction on their behalf. The scope of work involves reporting project progress, executing the work schedule, monitoring project progress and resource allocation, coordinating different parties and other managerial works of the project
  • Reports to the main contractor

  • Communicates with subcontractors, tradesmen/supervisors, safety engineers and any other parties on site

Suppliers
  • Inverter supplier

  • Energy storage system supplier

  • Wooden structure and supplementary material suppliers

  • Curtain wall supplier

There are many suppliers to this project. Their scope of work includes corresponding with the design consultant and delivery of product details, provision of quotations, development of purchase agreements, delivery of products to the site and after sales product care (when necessary)
  • Mainly communicate with the design consultant

  • Other communications include with the main contractor/project manager regarding the delivery of products, client and facilities manager about warranty-related maintenance or repair (if necessary)

Facilities managerMainly responsible for the O&M of BIPV system. The scope of work includes monitoring and recording BIPV performance, dealing with periodical maintenance, repairs and replacement work, managing the system's operation and troubleshooting, coordinating with maintenance stakeholders and other managerial duties
  • Mainly communicates with client

  • Other communications include with maintenance personnel, product suppliers and manufacturers and building occupants
