Note(s): Group 100 had a total of 26 correct answers in the pre-test (mean = 4.3). After the lesson, participating students got a total of 39 correct answers (mean = 6.5). The standard deviation was 3.1 in the pre-test, and 1.2 in the post-test. Cohen's d = 0.936 (large effect size). Cohen's d was calculated using the formula: d = (M1 – M2) / SDpooled. The knowledge test indicated an improvement of 31% units
