Note(s): This table presents descriptive statistics of corporate charitable donations from 2003 to 2012. It also reports the distribution of corporate charitable giving by region and by industry. Eastern China includes 11 provinces (or provincial-level cities): Beijing, Fujian, Guangdong, Hainan, Hebei, Jiangsu, Liaoning, Shandong, Shanghai, Tianjin and Zhejiang. Middle China includes 8 provinces: Anhui, Heilongjiang, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Jilin and Shanxi. Western China includes 11 provinces (or provincial-level cities): Chongqing, Gansu, Guangxi, Guizhou, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Xinjiang and Yunan.
