PCS maturity levels description

| Level 1 | Ad-hoc | Processes are not established |
| Level 2 | Repeatable | Basic processes have been established |
| Level 3 | Defined | The processes necessary to achieve the organizational purpose are documented, standardized and integrated with other processes in the business |
| Level 4 | Managed | Evidence of quantitative objectives for quality and process performance, to be used as criteria in decision making |
| Level 5 | Optimized | The organization is focused on optimization of its quantitatively managed processes for making organizational management decisions for the future |
