The model is divided horizontally into “THEORETICAL UNDERPINNINGS” at the top and “PROCESSES and FINDINGS” at the bottom. The theoretical foundation rests on two concepts: “Optimal Distinctiveness Theory,” which involves “Balancing the Duality,” and “Sensemaking Theory,” which involves “Interpreting and Navigating Complexities.” Moving to the findings, the model outlines a process for Study 1, showing that both “Global Principles” and “Local Principles” serve as antecedents leading to “Glocal support to D E I.” This glocal support is specified through “Fairness in Decision-Making,” “Leaders that Model D E I B Values,” and “Continuous Discussion of D E I B.” The model then transitions into Study 2, which investigates the prediction of “D E I B Work.” The construct “Glocal support to D E I” is shown to have the strongest positive relationship with “D E I B Work,” marked by a significant coefficient of “0.56 asterisk”. Additionally, “Organizational Accountability” positively predicts “D E I B Work” with a significant coefficient of “0.17 asterisk”. Finally, two other constructs, “Team Trust” and “Comfort with Disability,” are also included in the model, indicated by dashed arrows pointing to “D E I B Work.”Illustration of study theories and results.
