The conceptual framework presents relationships among four constructs. Network centrality and network constraints are shown as predictors of business opportunity recognition. Network centrality has a positive influence (H1 positive), while network constraints have a negative influence (H2 negative). Home country cultural tightness moderates these relationships, indicated by paths H3 negative and H4 positive, suggesting that cultural norms and restrictions can either weaken or strengthen the impact of network positions on recognising business opportunities.
