People value stream input includes value people, utilise people input, motivate people, develop and empower people, train people, give employees responsibilities, improve communication, improve teamwork, and improve employee relationships. These inputs feed into the people value stream of individuals and groups, resulting in people who are valued, motivated, empowered, willing, and able to identify and solve problems. The problem solving process follows through true communication and cooperation based on mutual consideration of each other positions and proceeds by asking, what is the problem, what is the root cause, what is the proposed solution, how can the problem and the proposed solution be monitored, and implement solution. Product value stream input includes Kanban, continuous flow, J I T, 5 S, standard work, Andon cord, and related practices that feed into the production system which highlights problems. Mutual trust connects the problem solving process and outcomes, leading to a leaner system.
