The envisioned workflow for CAD-assisted annotations in nuclei segmentation from an unsupervised model to identify areas need annotation. Two modes of annotations may be required from future models to achieve a high performance: (a) point-wise and (b) mask annotations. A hybrid model that can best leverage this information will benefit from a minimum set of annotations to achieve high performance. Certainly, the quality of training depends on the unsupervised model that guides the annotation process.
