The flowchart starts with a sound event in an intelligent environment (IE). This sound event is extracted by the CAD (Context-Aware Detection) module. The extraction process uses a hierarchical pattern of sound events. The extracted information is then analyzed by the ISUA (Intelligent Sound Understanding Agent). The analysis passes on the recognized information to the recommendation module.
