The PRISMA flow diagram presents study selection across identification, screening, and included stages. Studies from databases or registers total n equals 1,646, including Mednar 545, C I N A H L 376, Scopus 312, Web of Science 240, ProQuest 118, PubMed 49, and Medic 6. Other sources add n equals 3, with citation searching 2 and hand searching 1. References removed total 421, leaving 1,225 screened studies, 1,153 excluded studies, and 72 sought for retrieval and assessed for eligibility. Further exclusions total 54, including unsuitable phenomenon 19, unsuitable participants 10, full text not available 10, unsuitable study type 7, unsuitable study design 6, and unsuitable language 2.
