Mean absolute error remains near 0 until about 10 to the power of minus 3 months, then rises steadily to about 0.12. Root mean squared error follows a higher curve and reaches about 0.14. Panel B represents outlet error over the same time scale and vertical range. Mean absolute error rises unevenly from near 0 to about 0.04 at approximately 10 to the power of minus 4 months, then increases gradually to about 0.16. Root mean squared error rises to about 0.08, briefly falls near 10 to the power of minus 3 months, and then increases to about 0.20.
