Plate 6
A partially open pavilion interior, featuring a mix of used elements and materials.A partially open pavilion interior characterized by layered tectonics that expose various constituent materials. The ceiling is made of corrugated metal sheets supported by red steel beams. The wall to the right is a combination of plywood sheets, studs and glass panes. The wall at the far end is a combination of transparent plastic sheets, panels, and green steel profiles. The left side is open towards a courtyard with greenery, a blue buoy and a bench. The floor is made of used, light-colored marble tiles. The overall design emphasizes the gathering of a variety of elements and materials as a fundamental activity in architectural practice.

Raamland, pavilion interior. Characterised by layered tectonics that expose constituent materials, and by deliberate mismatches between disparate elements, the project approaches gathering not as a supplementary method for sourcing materials that can be indiscriminately applied to architectural projects, but as a fundamental activity intrinsic to architectural practice, on a par with drawing.
