Flowchart of literature analysis process with five steps leading to four thematic clusters and an integrative framework. The flowchart illustrates a literature analysis process following Webster and Watson's (2002) approach. The process begins with Article Identification, where a final corpus of 38 articles is selected from a systematic search and appraisal. This leads to Concept-Centric Coding, where recurring concepts such as Design, Engagement, Value, and Ethics are identified across all articles. The next step is the construction of a Concept Matrix, which maps articles to these concepts. Following this, Thematic Synthesis aggregates these codes into four higher-order thematic clusters. Cluster Interpretation involves iterative analysis and abstraction across themes and sub-themes. The four thematic clusters identified are Gamification Design & Mechanics, Engagement & Behaviour, Business Value Creation, and Ethics, Policy & Societal Impact. These clusters contribute to the development of an Integrative GAMIFY Framework, which synthesizes six pillars from the clusters.
