The flowchart depicts a multi-phase process for a decision support system. It begins with Phase 1, which includes Asset inventory and Data gathering. Phase 2 focuses on determining the Highway theoretical capacity. Phase 3 considers various supply effects such as Motorway construction sites, Road accidents, Weather conditions, and Force majeure, which feed into a Power Query tool. This tool also incorporates demand effects like Customer segmentation, Frequency and distribution, and Price elasticity. The data from Power Query is processed using PowerBi. Phase 4 involves analyzing historical data, real-time data, and predictive forecasts to determine Effective capacity and Level of Service (LOS). The final Phase 5 focuses on Infrastructural management and development, which includes Traffic management, Asset maintenance programs, and Infrastructure development plans. The outcomes and managerial decisions derived from this process are used for policy and managerial decisions.Proposed DSS architecture Source: Authorsā elaboration
