The workflow layout illustrates the analytical process used to reduce human error in maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations. Maintenance error reports, including incident logs, safety audits, and safety management system manuals, are analysed through the H F A C S, Human Factors Analysis and Classification System, framework covering unsafe acts, preconditions, supervision, and organisational factors. Smart technology capabilities, including augmented reality, artificial intelligence, radio-frequency identification, and digital twins, are evaluated using S W O T analysis involving strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Both analyses feed into a matrix mapping stage that links smart technologies to specific human error categories.
