A flowchart traces study identification, screening, eligibility and inclusion, reducing 2406 database records to 180 studies.The process starts with database searches in A B I INFORM, Science Direct, Scopus, EBSCO, Emerald Insight, Springer Nature, Taylor and Francis, and Google Scholar. Search strings combine robot and restaurant, with additional terms food, beverage, drink, server, waiter, chef, cook, staff, frontline, worker, employee, delivery, kiosk, bar, barista, bartender, food and beverage, room service, food service, food catering, hospitality event, and dining. Database searching identifies 2406 records. Screening begins with 2406 articles, followed by removal of 402 duplicates, leaving 2004 articles. Title, abstract and keyword screening excludes 1579 articles, including non peer reviewed materials and articles without F and B context. Full text assessment covers 425 articles. Full article review excludes 245 articles without F and B context. The review includes 180 studies.
