Figure 3
A Process diagram outlines pilot study, pre-testing, behavioural interventions, post-testing and evaluation stages. The process diagram presents five stages. The Pilot Study stage includes testing the clarity of the questionnaire among adolescents and testing the clarity of behavioural interventions among adolescents using focus groups. The Pre-testing stage states that data collection is conducted in person in the classroom using a pre-test questionnaire. The Behavioural Interventions stage begins immediately after participants complete the pre-test questionnaire. Behavioural interventions are implemented in classrooms for 25 to 45 minutes and include behavioural education intervention, peer-led intervention and video interventions. The control group is not exposed to the behavioural interventions. The Post-testing stage states that data collection is conducted online using a post-test questionnaire distributed via email addresses collected during pre-testing. Post-testing is conducted one month after the behavioural interventions to detect behavioural changes and uses the same sample involved in pre-testing and behavioural interventions. The Evaluation stage assesses the effectiveness of the implemented behavioural interventions through hypothesis testing.
