Figure 1
A diagram showing the relationships between social capital, knowledge sharing, absorptive capacity, and organizational performance. The diagram illustrates the relationships between social capital, knowledge sharing, absorptive capacity, and organizational performance. Structural capital, relational capital, and cognitive capital contribute to social capital. Social capital influences knowledge sharing, which includes collecting, donating, and sharing knowledge. Knowledge sharing affects absorptive capacity, which is divided into acquisition, assimilation, and transformation. Absorptive capacity impacts organizational performance. The diagram shows various paths and hypotheses (H1 to H7) indicating the relationships between these constructs.

Final model. Note 1: H7 concerns the mediation effect of absorptive capacity on the relationship between social capital and organizational performance. As a mediation hypothesis, H7 corresponds to the indirect path already represented by the SC → AC and AC → OP arrows in Figure 1, rather than an additional direct relationship requiring its own arrow. Note 2: For the first-order latent variable called relational, two indicators from a list of six were excluded from the model because they had a factor load below 0.700, which affected the value of the AVE. Similarly, for the first-order latent variable called acquisition, two indicators were also removed from a list of six, for the same reason. For the other first-order latent variables, all indicators were considered suitable for the model
