After years in the accounting profession,

and encountering critical research in academia,

something within me began to feel uneasy.

The pathway into critical inquiry

made me see the world through different eyes.

It ignited a fire of reflection

I never knew I carried.

Yet all of this left me feeling like a stranger within.

Then, I asked myself:

Am I different? Am I wrong?

Walking in a different direction is never easy.

But along the way,

I didn't find the end,

but a few similar souls in the course of action.

And then I understood:

I am not different!

I only needed to find

my academic tribe.
