"Financial institutions, intangibles and corporate governance"

which appeared in Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal,Vol. 14 No. 4, 2001

John Holland is currently a professor at Glasgow University. He has previously been a Research Fellow at London Guildhall University from 1972 to 1975 and a lecturer at Bath University from 1975 to 1979.

He has been involved in all managerial and administrative tasks and functions in his department for over the past 23 years. Research interests include corporate governance, corporate disclosure, fund management, corporate banking,and financial management. He is the author of many articles in these research areas. His special interest lies in developing grounded theory by direct research in companies and financial institutions.

Personal interests include walking in the Highlands, theatre, cinema, modern literature, modern art, and international politics. Married to Janet, he has two children Patrick and Elisabeth.
