In association with the Fifth Asia-Pacific Interdisciplinary Research in Accounting (APIRA) 2007 Conference, and the Accounting Auditing &Accountability Journal

This forum is designed for doctoral degree students, new faculty and emerging researchers. It will run immediately before the main APIRA 2007 conference scheduled for 8-10 July 2007.   • present their current research in small group settings;

  • network with scholars in their fields; and

  • benefit from presentations and advice of leading scholars in subject areas and methodological traditions supported by the APIRA 2007 conference and the Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal.

Previous Emerging Scholars' Colloquia held before the APIRA conferences attracted around 40 emerging scholars supported by senior research faculty on a ratio of approximately 3:1. Feedback on these Colloquis has been extremely positive. We expect the Auckland colloquium to be similarly successful.

Formal electronic application is required, and those interested are advised to apply early as places will be limited and selection of participants may be competitive. For further information, application forms and instructions, please go to the Emerging Scholars' Colloquium page on the APIRA 2007 Conference website:http://www.bsec.canterburv.ac.nz/apira2007/colloquium.html

This premiere emerging scholar forum in the Asia-Pacific region draws together the strongest international cohort of scholars and faculty seen at any one time in the region. It occurs only once every three years. If you are an emerging scholar or the supervisor or head of school for eligible scholars, then please act on this opportunity without delay.
