Pangborn UK, the European division of global surface engineering group, Pangborn Corporation, has unveiled a £6 million manufacturing facility in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, UK.

Featuring the latest computer-aided design (CAD) techniques and dedicated CNC machinery, the facility will manufacture all Pangborn blast-cleaning machinery destined for the UK and Europe, including the new "Millennium" range which was launched in spring 1998.

In addition to high specification, precision assembly to ISO 9001 and 9002, the facility includes a fully automated iron phosphate pre-treatment powder coating works. This facility enables Pangborn to offer customers the additional option of having their cleaning machines powder coated, to ensure that the units are protected against corrosion.
