AST fosters technical exchange with Hong Kong group

Europe's pioneering tin-zinc alloy specialists, Coventry-based Advanced Surface Treatments Ltd(AST), proved a showpiece stopping off point for a delegation of leading Hong Kong businessmen.

Representatives from a number of Hong Kong metal finishing and metal products companies took part in the study mission, which was organised by plant and process suppliers Enthone OMI for the Hong Kong Productivity Council.

Earlier this year AST became the first company in Europe to offer tin-zinc alloy plating after investing more than £500,000 in a new computerised plant. The process is increasingly in demand within the automotive, aerospace and electronics industries.
