Corr-Paint CP4000, a new high temperature coating used to protect metals, ceramics and refractories from high temperature oxidation and corrosion to 600°C.
Corr-Paint CP4000 is a single part, water dispersible, ceramic-silicone based coating which claims exceptional thermal, moisture and salt spray resistance. It reportedly can be applied to a wide range of substrates including dense ceramics, porous insulation materials, carbon and stainless steel.
Corr-Paint CP4000 is stated to be a low VOC, non-flammable formulation which is supplied in a viscosity range of 600-1,200cps. It can be thinned with water and applied using brush, roller or spray equipment. Drying occurs within 1-2 hours and curing is accomplished usually in operation or at 230°C in 1-2 hours. It is available in aluminium, white, clear, blue, green and yellow.
Aremco-Bond 570, a new high temperature heat-curing nitrile/phenolic adhesive used to bond burner nozzle tips to ceramic bases used in industrial applications to 320°C.
According to CPL,Aremco-Bond 570 is a single component, high strength, contact adhesive which exhibits excellent thermal shock, chemical and moisture resistance. The flexible nature of Aremco-Bond 570 enables it to bond together a wide range of materiaIs including ceramics, metals, plastics, quartz and refractories. This property provides manufacturers with a direct method of attaching materials of different coefficients of expansion for use in thermal, structural and electrical applications throughout industry.
Aremco-Bond 570 reportedly demonstrates a flexural and tensile strength of 12.0 Kpsi and 9.0Kpsi respectively. Its coefficient of thermal expansion is 4.1 × 10.6in/in/°F;it is coloured black and has a viscosity of 35,000 cps at room temperature and is available in pint containers to five gallon drums.
