Elcometer Instruments Ltd has added a portable pneumatic adhesion tester, the Elcometer 110 PATTI®,to it is adhesion test product group to complement the existing selection of adhesion testers (Plate 7).
This versatile instrument works on the simple principle of applying a controlled force, via a piston arrangement, to a test stub which has been glued to the coating. The force is increased uniformly until the coating fails. A wide selection of pistons,covering a range of forces, is available. All pistons are fully interchangeable with the host unit.

This adhesion test conforms to ASTM D 4541 and can be applied to a variety of coatings including:paint, ceramics, inks, adhesives, metal sprayed coatings and many more!
The unit is designed to be used as a portable system or set up as a bench test unit. A shoulder carry case allows the Elcometer 110 PATTI® to be used easily in "on-site" conditions.
