Following the launch last year of its SupaBlast, USF Abrasive Developments has added an additional model to this entry level range of wet blast cabinets.

The new SupaBlast barrel is fitted with a tumble blast basket as standard;this is thought to make it ideal for deburring and surface finishing a wide range of small, lightweight components (Plate 6).

Supplied ready for immediate use, the SupaBlast barrel can reportedly be used with most types of blast media; it simply needs to be connected to a single phase electric supply, compressed air and water connection. Standard features include a variable speed tumble basket with timer, media/water pump, blast gun and nozzle, wide safety viewing window with wiper and high density fluorescent lighting for maximum visibility.

Wet blasting is said to offer the environmental benefits of dust free operation and efficiency benefits of combined cleaning and degreasing in one process. According to USF anyone needing to clean, degrease or surface finish small components can now gain significant improvements with the SupaBlast barrel cabinet.
