Static International Limited have released the Mitsuba Electrostatic powder spraying machines onto the UK market (Plate 5). As a company that has been manufacturing its own units for over 30 years, it was reportedly so impressed with the performance, technology, engineering and price that it decided to import the Mitsuba machine as a sole agency. Static reports that it considered this a good opportunity, as it could devote more time in manufacturing its ovens and powder spray booths and also help customers manufacture their own ovens with its kits.

According to the company it can supply, at very competitive prices, a full range of spray machines. These consist of corona high voltage units with either a hopper or box feed and, as the photograph shows, a corona and tribo combined unit. Automatic corona and tribo are also available and incidentally are said to be interchangeable with Gema equipment at a very competitive price.

A sample cup attachment may be fitted to the corona gun and a tribo package sample cup gun may be purchased with a powder capacity of 150 grams. This is believed ideal for sampling short colour runs, as a stand-by.

Static International Limited provides full technical and spares support. The machines are said to have a smart tracker diagnostic system which monitors the performance of every component – even unskilled labour reportedly can detect a trouble spot with ease. Plug-in, plug-out modules can rectify a problem immediately without the visit of costly service engineers. The units carry a two-year guarantee.
