PAINT 2005 – next stage in BRE'S initiative

Following the launch of the PAINT 2005 initiative last year, initial feedback from specifiers and manufacturers has now been collated and a structure and direction for the future of PAINT 2005 has been announced by BRE. PAINT(Protective And Innovative New Treatments) 2005 will be run as a network group and will act as an umbrella body for paint- and coatings-related research projects.
BRE originally undertook the project last year to improve the performance of paints and other coatings used in the construction industry. Questionnaires were sent to purchasers, specifiers and manufacturers to obtain information and feedback for the project. These have now been returned and the information collated.
