The USF's UK-based Surface Technology Centre, which is situated close to the M6 in Birmingham, has been expanded to include new products and meet the increasing demand from industrialists for practical demonstrations of surface preparation and finishing techniques.
Opened in June 2001, a number of new items of equipment have now been added to the Centre, including the USF Group's new range of washing and degreasing systems, and ultrasonic cleaning machines. Said general manager, Colin Worthington: "Customers old and new are now beginning to realise that this facility is much more than an exhibition centre. It is a complete surface preparation workshop staffed by experienced personnel, which allows industrialists to test the effectiveness of a wide range of techniques and technologies. We have been delighted by the increasing number of demonstrations and pilot production runs we are now carrying out. Customers leave here certain that they have the best solution to their surface preparation requirements."
The USF Surface Technology is available to all and offers a complete one-stop solution for all surface preparation and finishing needs. It includes working examples of the USF Surface Preparation Group's latest products, including wheel-blast equipment, wet and dry air blast cabinets, mass finishing systems,effluent treatment equipment, mobile floor and steel preparation equipment and open nozzle blast-cleaning systems.
