New MD for CorrOcean

The Board of Directors of CorrOcean ASA has employed Øystein L. Narvhus as Managing Director with immediate effect.

Øystein L. Narvhus, who is 53 years old, has a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Surrey in England and has worked for a number of years abroad (UK and Saudi-Arabia). He has a broad international management background from the electronic industry for companies like Siemens and Alcatel.

From 1998 to 2002, Mr Narvhus was Managing Director of Navia Aviation AS(later Park Air System) and managed the company through a merging process from three separate companies to form a company with international strength and reputation within its field.

The Board is confident that Mr Narvhus with his broad international experience within sales and project management as well as his long-term experience in management has the qualifications necessary to lead the strategic focus on the growing MOT activity in CorrOcean. In connection with the sale of the AIS and SRM division and the focus on a restructured MOT division the present Managing Director, Arnfinn Unum wished to seek new challenges.
