Recent successful experiments with a newly developed petrol tank lacquer are said to have provided the solution to the vexed problem of the internal corrosion of fuel tanks. These experiments, conducted by the Ford Motor Company at their Dagenham works, have led to the installation of a new plant designed to revolutionise the corrosion protection processes involved in tank manufacture.
