BS on accelerated corrosion tests. There are a number of British Standards for various types of surface coatings which include accelerated corrosion tests. Although the methods of performing these tests are carefully detailed, the assessment of results is left to the opinion of inspectors, which can lead to confusion. To overcome any possible discrepancies in assessing these tests a British Standard has now been published which gives a method for the evaluation of results of accelerated corrosion tests for metallic coatings.
