Much research has been devoted in recent years to improving the quality of precision weights, and among the exhibits on view at the 39th Physical Society Exhibition, held at the New Hall of the Royal Horticidtural Society from April 25 to 28, were sets of tin‐nickel coated and stainless steel weights made by Baird & Tatlock and Stanton Instruments Ltd. An account of these and some of the other instruments demonstrated at the Exhibition is given.
