Treatment of paint spray booths. The Pyrene Co. Ltd. Metal Finishing Division have produced a water‐soluble material known as Detac No. 1 for the treatment of the recirculating water in water‐conditioned paint spray booths. Its function is to denature the overspray paint and, by removing all stickiness, to prevent the adhesion of the overspray paint to reservoir walls, eliminator plates and pumps, thus reducing the labour required to maintain paint spray booths in a clean condition.
