The term ‘latex‐cement’ is used to describe the combination of hydraulic cements with aqueous dispersions or emulsions of various elastomers, but as far as present‐day usage is concerned it is almost invariably associated with mixtures of Portland or high‐alumina cement and concentrated natural rubber latex.
