New cleaner for powder coating pretreatment. Improved corrosion resistance and less warranty returns are claimed for a new cleaning scheme introduced 2 years ago by GKN Kent Alloys Ltd, Strood, Kent for use prior to the application of powder coating finishes on aluminium alloy car wheels. Liquid cleaning chemicals, all supplied by Oakite Ltd, West Carr Rd Industrial Estate, Retford, Notts DN22 7SN, have played a major role in contributing to the success of the scheme.
