A new patented process that simultaneously cleans steel by grit‐blasting and applies primer is now available from Akzo Coatings BV of Wapenveld, the Netherlands. The ‘Gritkote’ process was develodped to improve treatment of steelwork such as industrial plant, storage tanks, port installations, offshore structures and ships' hulls.
