The Advanced Coatings Division has recently been granted CAA approval for its Cadvac coating service. Cadvac is the NEI registered name for a process involving ion assisted physical vapour deposition of cadmium in vacuum. The cadmium is required on engineering components to protect the underlying steel from corrosion in damp atmospheres.
