Dry lubrication and corrosion protection for moving parts. A new surface treatment which both lubricates and protects moving parts is available from Ionic Surface Treatments. Called Ionlube, the coating incorporates a fluorocarbon (ptfe) dry lubricant into electroless nickel to give a hard, corrosion resistant and low friction layer. The result claimed, is trouble free operation for machine parts with rotating or sliding surfaces where conventional grease and oil lubricants are unacceptable.
