‘Dinaphon’ V33, V54, V68 and V103. Hangers Paints Ltd. These leaflets describe the properties of Dinaphon materials. Dinaphon V33 is a thermal insulating anti‐condensation material supplied as pasty material made of a dispersion of plastic resin and highly crystalline and granular fillers. It forms a dry coating with a microporous structure which is essential for the maximum anti‐condensation effect. Pores occupy 60% of the volume of the dry coating, which thus has a high thermal insulation value and a good capacity for moisture absorption. V54 is similarly a pasty material. It is sound‐deadening and is designed for reducing sonic vibration in buildings, vehicles etc. V68 is a paint‐like compound for application to fibrous and spongy types of acoustic panels to give protection and decoration without impairing their intrinsic acoustic properties. It is composed of a dispersion of plastic resin and inert mineral fillers which give it a flexible but strong structure capable of covering coarse fibrous surfaces with a sound‐absorbent coating. V103 is a pasty material formed by the suspension of mineral fillers in an incombustible mineral type of binder. It is claimed that neither the liquid composition nor the dried coating will support combustion. The coating thermally insulates the underlying surface from the source of fire and, under the influence of heat, large gas‐filled blisters develop in the coating and these give extremely high thermal insulation. Under extreme heat V103 fuses to a glass‐like coating on the surface.
