NEW MARINE RESEARCH LABORATORY OPENED. As the reader will see from several of the articles in this special marine issue of CORROSION TECHNOLOGY, marine paints require special formulation. They should be tested under conditions approximating as closely as possible to those they will encounter in service. It was with these facts in mind that the Paints Division of I.C.I. in 1947 established its Marine Research Station at Brixham in South Devon.
