The Effect of Tank Coating on Tanker Efficiency

In tanker operation, much extra expense and wasted time are caused by the corrosion of cargo tanks. Frequently expensive repairs and replacements have to be made at the time of the second or third special survey. This article, after reviewing briefly the principal methods of corrosion prevention in this application, considers one of the adduct — cured epoxide coating systems.
