Design for Pipelines — Part 1

Planning for cathodic protection was started in June 1957 for the 6‐in. Haifa‐Tel Aviv product line and at that time it was not known that, while work was in progress, the 16‐in. crude‐oil line from Hashdod to Haifa would be installed and have to be included in the planning. This naturally caused difficulties but resulted in division of costs which until then had burdened the 6‐in. line.
