Murex Extensions. Extensions costing around £350,000 have recently been completed at the works of Murex Welding Processes Ltd. at Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire. The new buildings consist of a 500‐ft.‐long single‐storey production shop having an uninterrupted floor area of 62,000 sq.ft. for the manufacture of electric arc‐welding plant, and a two‐storey office block of 7,200 sq.ft. to accommodate the plant sales department, drawing office and works engineer's department. The extensions represent a further stage in the planned development of the Murex works, originally erected in 1938.
