AST moves to strengthen production team
Advance Surface Treatments(AST), of Coventry, has appointed Mr John Comer as works manager to its Zinic Division.
Mr Comer was previously the quality manager and successfully steered the compay's Zinic Division into achieving QS 9000 certification earlier this year.
His appointment comes at a time when AST is expanding its operations. It has recently invested more than£1 million in a new plant and in bringing to Europe tin-zinc alloy plating from Japan and America.
Other new processes recently installed include Zinic Plus, a zinc/nickel, process containing 12 to15 percent nickel which can significantly increase corrosion resistance up to 2,000 hours salt spray ASTMB1117.
AST is also offering a black passivate with finish Zinic Plus to complement its standard gold passivate finish.
