CTT Systems and LTU have signed a Letter of Intent regarding installation of CTT's Zonal Drying™System onboard one of LTU's Airbus A330 aircraft with an option for the additional fleet.
The first installation is planned for early 1999, with FAA certification to follow during 1999. After an evaluation period of six months LTU will make a decision regarding installation in the complete A330 fleet, presently six aircraft.
"I am delighted to announce this first step into the Airbus family. Having LTU as launching customer, with their operational experience of the A330 aircraft, is definitively a valuable recognition for us. Furthermore, this is very important for our long term marketing of the Zonal Drying System towards existing Airbus operators", comments CTT Systems president Mr Torbjorn Johansson.
CTT Systems manufactures and markets the Zonal Drying System, which is designed to overcome the problems related to water condensation in modern aircraft. Airliners suffering from rain in the plane and/or wet insulation blankets can use the CTT system to eliminate rain in the plane, lower maintenance cost and achieve substantial fuel saving. By keeping the intermediate space between cabin liner and aircraft skin dry, the Zonal Drying System also reduces corrosion and reduces the risk for failure in electrical systems.
CTT have today the following customers for the Zonal Drying System:
Martinair for B767-3C0 and MD11.
Jet Aviation for executive aircrafts B767-200 and B757-200
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for MD11.
Austrian AirlineS for MD80.
CTT Systems AB is located in Nyköping, Sweden and since October 1997 noted on the SBI list in Stockholm.
