3P Ltd, based in Telford,Shropshire, supplies lined pipe in sizes down to 0.5m. The company claims to be the only UK producer to specialise in larger bore lined pipe from 12in up to 30in (Plate 6).
The effectiveness of larger bore lined pipe is sensitive to various operating factors, including temperature, processes and vacuum requirements. But 3P believes that it should not be overlooked as an option, since the alternatives such as stainless steel, more frequent pipe replacement or welded and bonded sheet lining are often more expensive and/or less effective.
