Air Products' commitment to epoxy curing agent market

Air Products has acquired the epoxy curing agents line of products from chemical company Scott Bader Company Limited of Wollaston, near Northampton, UK. Under the terms of the agreement Air Products has taken ownership of both Scott Bader's curing agents'technology and associated customer list.

The acquisition is a strategic move by Air Products to further grow its market share. Currently Air Products manufactures epoxy additives, which are primarily sold to the coatings and civil engineering markets, at its Clayton, Manchester, facility. In the USA,Air Products also manufactures epoxy curing agents and modifiers from two sites in California and one in Rhode Island.
